TWENTY THINGS A MOM SHOULD TELL HER SON

1. Play a sport.
It will teach you how to win honorably,
lose gracefully, respect authority,
work with others, manage your time
and stay out of trouble.
And maybe even throw or catch.

2. You will set the tone
for the sexual relationship,
so don't take something away from her
that you can't give back.

3. Use careful aim when you pee.
Somebody's got to clean that up, you know.

4. Save money when you're young
because you're going to need it someday.

5. Allow me to introduce you
to the dishwasher, oven,
washing machine, iron,
vacuum, mop and broom.
Now please go use them.

6. Pray and be a spiritual leader.

7. Don't ever be a bully
and don't ever start a fight,
but if some idiot clocks you,
please defend yourself.

8. Your knowledge and education is something
that nobody can take away from you.

9. Treat women kindly.
Forever is a long time to live alone
and it's even longer to live with somebody
who hates your guts.

10. Take pride in your appearance.

11. Be strong and tender at the same time.

12. A woman can do everything that you can do.
This includes her having a successful career
and you changing diapers at 3 A.M.
Mutual respect is the key to a good relationship.

13. "Yes ma'am" and "yes sir"
still go a long way.

14. The reason that they're called "private parts"
is because they're "private".
Please do not scratch them in public.

15. Peer pressure is a scary thing.
Be a good leader and others will follow.

16. Bringing her flowers for no reason
is always a good idea.

17. It is better to be kind
than to be right.

18. A sense of humor
goes a long way
in the healing process.

19. Please choose your spouse wisely.

20. Remember to call your mother
because I might be missing you.

Tiger and Farmer

Once a farmer, while walking through a village, came across an iron cage containing a tiger that had been captured by some villagers. As the farmer passed by, the tiger called out to him and said, “O, brother! Have pity on me and let me out. I am very thirsty.”

The farmer said, “If I let you out of the cage, you will eat me.” The tiger replied, “I can never be so ungrateful. I promise I will drink some water and return to my cage.”
The farmer took pity on him and opened the cage door. Immediately, the tiger jumped out and said, “You foolish man! Now I will eat you!”

The farmer cried, “How could you be so ungrateful? I was the one who gave you freedom.” The tiger said, “You knew I was a tiger. What did you expect? For this you deserve to die.”

A sage, who was passing by heard the altercation between the man and the tiger and asked, “What are you two arguing about?” The farmer narrated the incident to him and asked him whether it was fair on the tiger's part to attack him thus.

The sage listened carefully and answered, “It is impossible for me to decide unless I know exactly where each of you were before this incident began.” The farmer said, “I was standing near the cage.” The sage asked, “Where was the tiger at that time?” “Inside the cage”, said the tiger. “Was the cage locked and bolted?” asked the sage. “Yes,” replied the tiger.

The sage looked at the cage for a moment and said, “How is it possible for a tiger your size to fit in such a small cage?” The tiger was in a hurry to get a decision from the sage, so he jumped back in the cage and said, “Like this!” The sage immediately locked the cage and said, “You wicked and ungrateful tiger, stay there for the rest of your days!”

The farmer was extremely grateful to the sage for saving his life and they both went their way, happily.

TOKEN OF FAITH

There was once a small village, which was suffering from a severe drought. The crops were dying, and the villagers and their animals had very little water to drink.

One day, to try to find a solution to the drought, the village priest called the villagers to gather at the village square to pray together for rain. He told them to bring along a token of their faith, so the prayer would be done in sincere faith.

And so, the villagers gathered at the square bringing with them tokens of their faith. Some brought the Bible while others carried small crosses as tokens of faith. They all prayed aloud with great faith and hope.

Sure enough, within a few moments it began to rain. The whole crowd was overjoyed and danced happily.

The priest noticed that among the joyous crowd was a nine-year-old boy, clutching an umbrella as a token of faith. The priest admired this little boy, who had brought an umbrella in total faith that the Lord would surely hear his prayers and send rain.

Silver Plate

A Mom visits her son for dinner who lives with a girl roommate.
During the course of the meal, his mother couldn't help but notice how pretty his roommate was.She had long been suspicious of a
relationship between the two, and this had only made her more curious....

Over the course of the evening, while watching the two interact, she started to wonder if there was more between him and
his roommate than met the eye.
Reading his mom's thoughts, his son volunteered,
“I know what you must be thinking, but I assure you,we are just
roommates."

About a week later, his roommate came to him saying,
“Ever since your mother came to dinner, I've been unable to find the silver plate. You don't suppose she took it, do you?"

He said ,"Well, I doubt it, but I'll email her, just
to be sure." He sat down and wrote :

Dear Mother:
I'm not saying that you ‘did' take the silver plate from my house, I'm not saying that you ‘did not' take the silver plate But the fact
remains that it has been missing ever since you were here for dinner.

Love,
your son.

Several days later, he received an email from
his Mother which read:

Dear Son:
I'm not saying that you ‘do' sleep with your roommate, and
I'm not saying that you ‘do not' sleep with her.
But the fact remains that if she was sleeping in her OWN bed, she
would have found the silver plate by now, under her pillow…

Love,
Mom.
